TradesWomen Needed!
The YWCA of Greater Cincinnati is leading the Women in Apprenticeships and NonTraditional Occupations (WANTO) program, created at the U.S. Department of Labor. The goal of WANTO is to close the income gap between women and men by recruiting, training and developing women for high wage nontraditional trade and technical careers. The success of the WANTO program depends on volunteer role model speakers. We need women to share their story of working in a nontraditional trade or technical career. Role model speakers aid the WANTO program by encouraging women to pursue a trade or technical career. If you are a current, former or retired tradeswoman who would like to volunteer for the Role Model Speakers Bureau contact Beverly Jacquez at 513-361-2145 or
