Block Kids 2009 Winners

Jillian Stetter was our overall winner for the Block Kids event.  We will let everyone know how she did as her project will be submitted to Nationals. 

Block Kids 2009 was a great success this year!  There were 78 enthusiastic and excited children from grades 1-6 that participated in the event and from what we gathered, they all had a blast!  There was also a great turnout of NAWIC volunteers as well as parent/teacher volunteers from Dater Montessori.  Thanks to all of you who helped out.  Without the volunteers, the event wouldn’t even be possible. 

A BIG thanks goes to all who supported this wonderful event including LaRosa’s, who donated lunch for all of the children and volunteers,

Also, a special thanks goes to Julie Faller from Dater Montessori.  She was great to work with throughout the planning of the Block Kids event.  You can tell that she cares about each and every one of the children that she interacts with.  Thanks again Julie!  You were awesome!

There is already a school in the works for next year’s Block Kids event.  There will be more details to come within the next month or so.
