Congratulations to Paul Rahner, 1st grade who won 1st place in the Chapter 64 competition for the 2008 Block Kids Program and 2nd place in Region 4 competition.
Our 1st Place Region 4 Block Kids winner is Derek Fabus, 4th Grade sponsored by the Lansing Chapter #177 who built a power station powered by solar energy panels, and methane gas from an adjacent landfill.
Our 2nd Place Region 4 Block Kids winner is Paul Rahner, 1st Grade sponsored by the Cincinnati Chapter #64 who built a crane with a rock as the wrecking ball and a partially demolished building.
Our 3rd Place Region 4 Block Kids winner is Maddy Massey, 6th Grade sponsored by the Lorrain Co. Ohio Chapter #320 who built a Church with stain glass windows (aluminum foil), a roof (cardboard), pews inside, and a bell (string with knot).
Our runner up this year was Ben Noggle, 6th Grade sponsored by the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Chapter # 302 who built a natural disaster detection system.
