Hope everyone is keeping warm this winter. At the end of January your President and President-Elect Fleet Fangman, CIT were invited to attend the ASPE Kick-off Meeting and do a presentation on NAWIC to their members. Great meeting and we learned a lot about the ASPE Chapter.
We started February participating at the Cincinnati Construx Expo in Loveland, Ohio. We had members working with Registration as well as the NAWIC Booth. We made some contacts and distributed lots of NAWIC information. It was a good day for all.
Due to weather conditions we had to reschedule our tour of Crossroads Church on Madison Road. Stay tuned for the new date.
But we were hard at work on Saturday the 16th preparing for Block Kids Event which took place the 23rd at Sands Montessori School. Great turn out and many great projects were built. More details to come on the winners. Thank you to Laura Collins and all the volunteers who came out to make this another successful event.
On February 19th Cincinnati held another Ms Fix-it with Troop #8257. These young ladies were very hands on and eager to learn.
March is going to be busy. I hope all of you requested your drum to be delivered to your location for the Can-struction event. If not please contact Kelly Hollatz.
WIC Week is coming up March 2 – 8th. Recognize all the women in our industry. Do something special for the women at your company or jobsite. The 14th Annual Celebration of Women Luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2008.
CAD/Design Drafting is ready for judging. Beth Coulson, Sherry Malott and volunteers are hard at work. We will have the winners by mid-March.
Our March meeting will be at ACI on March 11, 2008. The topic is Building Information Modeling (BM) with Richard T. La Jeunesse, Partner. Hope to see you there.
CSI Product Show is scheduled for March 12, 2008 at the Sharonville Convention Center. NAWIC is helping with Registration and we also have a booth. I need volunteers to come out and help.
